La pintura portátil

Entiendo que la historia de la pintura portátil es larga, en este sentido las pinturas sobre tela lo son frente a los murales o frescos originales. En realidad, la idea de una pintura portátil tiene otros significados que para mí va más allá de su capacidad física a ser transportada. Esto es  sólo un pretexto para expresar otras cosas. Quiero colocar esta idea en un mundo simbólico. También se trata de una aproximación al concepto de producto, tomar sus ventajas y hacer algo qué pueda consumir la gente contemporánea.

Guillermo Pfaff was born in Barcelona in 1976. In 1997 he finished his Art studies and exhibited for the first time in a commercial art gallery. Although at the time he worked with different media, painting became his most recurrent language. This decision involves a certain degree of self-criticism: the artist conceptualises the pictorial process in search of an approach to it that will suit his circumstances. From 2002 to 2005 he left Spain to live in cities like Paris or Berlin. In 2006 he returned to Barcelona and produced some of his works in Hangar, the art production center, and established links with the Association of Visual Artists of Catalonia, AAVC. In 2009 he got a grant as resident artist for two years in Hangar. Nowadays he lives between Barcelona and Madrid.
